Makin' Butta
We made some butter today! It was really too exciting! I don't have a very good picture of the churn, but here are the rest of the steps involved. Too bad I can't have dairy right now (because of Myla's allergy...) Everyone else said it was yumma!
Happy Birthday Pappa!!!
Tai is 33 this year! He had a long drawn out birthday as we all should! He got to go snowboarding with his friend Trevor, Had a day of his choice (hiking and drawing on the beach) and had a magnificent birthday breakfast (french toast with whip cream and strawberries, and BACON. This is a once a year special where I actually *gulp* cook bacon. I started the tradition last year to show my love for him. I HATE bacon, so this is big. I read how to cook bacon online and he says it's the best he's ever had. There you go! Keri the great bacon cooker...
He also had a nice oyster fest and home made ice cream cake. It was all good!
Tenzin drew this picture of Pappa.
Spring
Here is my little craft contribution to spring. A little robin's nest! Felted buffalo wool and painted porceline eggs. A little rough.. guess that's why they were at the thrift store...
Sweet Potato Princess
Here is Myla enjoying her first bites of sweet potato! She started solids much later than Tenzin. They are different babies all together!
First Bite
Tenzin milled and gave Myla her first bite of food! Sweet potato for a sweet potato I say!
Tenzin was very excited to have such an important job.
First Quilt
Here is my practice rag quilt. Made from Myla's baby recieving blankets and a recycled shirt. Tenzin says we should write pookie on the star in the middle. Good idea!
I'm working on Tenzin's big quilt, so I wanted to try a mini one first. The danger is now that I have entered the addictive world of collecting quilting fabric.....
